Covid-19 Guidance - Updated 25/02/2022
While we are all thrilled to be back at training after the disruption caused by the global pandemic, we are conscious that Covid-19 remains a significant health threat and that we have to make changes to ensure that our training sessions are as safe as possible for our players, coaches and family members. Although we can never be one-hundred percent sure that there is no risk of Covid-19 being transmitted at a session we have put a number of measures in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 during club activities and we are always open to feedback from players and families to ensure that we are maintaining high standards of infection control. Below we have put together a detailed outline of what is expected of players, coaches and family members.
The measures we have put in place will be strictly enforced as any breaches of guidance could result in increased risk of transmitting Covid-19 between players and having our access to training facilities revoked by West Lothian Leisure.
Prior to Training:
-
Players must complete the self-screening form prior to every training session.
-
A register will be kept at each training session to comply with Test and Protect. Please ensure that you let coaches know in advance when you will be attending training and make sure that your contact details are up to date.
Arriving at Training:
-
Players should arrive at training ready to play and wearing kit as changing facilities will be limited to essential personal care only.
-
Players must sanitise their hands when entering the building.
-
Face-coverings must be worn in all public spaces and should only be removed during training. Exceptions apply for players who cannot tolerate a mask due to a medical condition. Please contact the club covid officer to discuss exemptions.
-
Players must maintain 2 metre social distancing while sitting at the side of the court.
-
Only 2 players will be permitted to enter the storage area at any time. Players who can bring their own wheelchair to training are encouraged to do so.
-
Ensure that equipment is wiped down prior to use (wipes will be provided).
-
Spectators are not permitted except for parents/guardians of children or vulnerable adults.
During Training:
Under 18’s:
-
Full contact indoor training is permitted.
-
Social distancing should be maintained when not on court.
-
Ensure that shared equipment is cleaned between use.
Adults:
-
Full contact indoor training is permitted.
-
Social distancing should be maintained when not on court.
-
Wipe down shared equipment between uses and at regular intervals.
After Training:
-
All equipment must be cleaned at conclusion of session (including player’s own personal wheelchairs).
-
Information gathered for Test and Protect purposes will be kept for 21 days after every training session. If you develop Covid-19 symptoms following a training session you must report this to the club covid officer as soon as possible.
